Alaska Week

Some people go to see the Northern Lights, others the Alaskan Malamute but we go for the snowboarding as Alaska has proven to be a must for all serious boarders.   The tall peaks surround luxury hotels, chalets, including two high-speed quads and a 60-person tram, plus 2,500 vertical feet that gets covered in 650 inches of snow a year.  There are several resorts to choose depending if your desire is to be more in the wilderness, close to the backcountry or are keen to try heli-skiing, the snowcats, snowmobiles or even wish to board to where the small fishing-village atmosphere can be experienced.  There are runs to suit all levels, the area is massive, beautiful, inspiring and many say a trip of a lifetime.
