EL COLORADO, CHILE

El Colorado Ski Resort is in the Andes and part of Three Valleys known as Valle Nevado and La Parva. This area is vast and offers a lot of variety in terrain.   It is a large treeless boarding area with 101 piste trails.  It is described as a cone-shaped peak with wide open areas fanning out .  Many runs are suited to beginners and the fall line groomed runs loved by the intermediates.  Advanced riders go to the eastern side where there are just a few steep pitches and a few shutes.  El Colarado is an economical resort and favoured by those keen on improving their snowboarding skills.  The village has small number of restaurants is the largest snow resort operation in the Southern Hemisphere. It has the highest terrain, the greatest number of lifts and the most reliable snow in Australia at current.
